********************************************************

Nazi cowboys, fascist oilmen, and Right Wing war lords uber alles....?
The Texas/Southern Republicans and their white shirt hooligans have no reason to be so aggressively militant about "winning" the White Haus!

They still have less than 1/100% lead in Florida, not counting all of the 10's of 1000s! of bizarre and highly suspicious "irregularities" in predominantly African-American & Jewish communities, and Gore still has a larger majority of the electoral vote!!!!
Gore and Bush are TIED, 48% to 48%, in the popular vote (minus Nader's 3%!), with Gore holding 255 of the other electoral votes to Bush's 246. The tie is to be broken, presumably, by the younger Bush brother's state. Adding Texas' 32 electoral votes to Florida's 25 will make 57 electoral votes controlled by the Bush "dy-nasty"... all projected years ago by the CIA-inspired "Bush Plan." Now look what spoiled frat-boys the Bushes are when their plans are foiled, even for a passing moment!

The only leverage G.W. Bush can claim is the measley 600-900 vote "lead" which he and his thugs are trying to ram into our faces as "Victory." These numbers, if this is truly a Democratic "race", do not lead to a conclusive "win"!!! If this were a 100-meter dash, G.W. Jr.'s lead at the finish line in Florida would be only 1-2 centimeters!
This is truly a "PHOTO-FINISH" conclusion, the size, my friends, of G.W. Bush's BOIL!!!
1/100 of a percent of one state that is now subject to scrutiny for extreme voting "irregularities" (CIA thuggishness) will NEVER, ever be considered an historic "victory" in this country or any other. The Bush family has turned the United States into a gigantic bar-brawl more appropriate to a mob-financed casino in Las Vegas (or Miami!). I'm afraid even there they would be booted out into the sand, upon replaying the security cameras!

These Bush brigades are unwisely underestimating the solidarity and determination of the Nader-aligned resistance!!! They are in for some shocking, riotous (righteous!) surprises if they attempt to 'storm' D.C. on such slim shades of corporate take-over!

The scenes of white-shirt fascists storming the election commission in Miami should be a clear warning to the world about the uber-Amerikan-corporate attitude THAT WANTS ITS FINGERS ON THE NUCLEAR BUTTON!!!

Their behavior is all the proof the world needs to exclude them from any further negotiations, and as we have broadcast before, PUT THESE BRAZEN BASTARDS ON TRIAL!!! The Bush Crime Family appears to be fully revealed...is everybody taking notes? Just how long can this Texas Teflon hold back the heat of justice?

Corporate media control is melting down, bubbling and gurgling like a blob of cheese on an overheated engine... Twisted truth and molded minds, Amerikans waking up, screaming at their TVs in betrayal...Revolutionary situation brewing worldwide, countercultural uprising underway in the USA!!!Crank it up, baby.....

The Naughties ('00) will make the Sixties look like the Thirties, man....only this time with infinite hard drive!
It's Planetary now....... GO WILD! Mother Earth is dying for our sins....

Lieberman Sees Florida Protests As Intimidation **********************************************

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic vice presidential candidate Joseph Lieberman said on Friday that ``orchestrated demonstrations'' in Florida had the specific aim of trying to intimidate officials into not recounting presidential votes. ``These demonstrations were clearly designed to intimidate and to prevent a simple count of votes from going forward,'' Lieberman said, referring to rowdy demonstrations in Miami on Wednesday before election officials decided against hand recounting votes in Florida's largest county. Saying one official reportedly decided against the recount after the demonstration, Lieberman called for a fair recount and said, ``These demonstrations are a disservice to our democracy.''

``This is a time to honor the rule of law, not surrender to the rules of the mob. This is a time for patience and respect, not intimidation and violence,'' Lieberman said, speaking outside Gore's vice presidential residence.

A Republican riot squad in Miami shows GOP will try to win at all cost
By Eric Alterman
mailto:letters@msnbc.com
MSNBC CONTRIBUTOR

Nov. 24 - Its getting harder and harder to believe ones eyes and ears as George Bush, James Baker and the Republicans grow ever more brazen in their effort to seize the presidency with or without a lawful mandate. As amazing as this sounds, it is distinctly possible that the 2000 election will be decided by a bunch of riotous thugs, operating under the direct control of the Republican Party.

THE MOST SIGNIFICANT OUTRAGE occurred Wednesday, when ABC News correspondent Bill Redeker discovered that Republican operatives, working out of a Florida-based mobile home, had sent in busloads of hooligans to shut down by force the court-ordered Miami-Dade recount at the Stephen P. Clark
Government Center.

Republican operatives also set up telephone banks to urge their footsoldiers to join in the riot. Miamis most important Spanish-language radio station, Radio Mambi, issued a summons to all pro-Republican Cuban-Americans to come stir the pot further, with charges of anti-Latino racism against the canvassing board.

INTIMIDATION AND FORCE
The mob chased down Joe Geller, chairman of the local Democratic Party, because they falsely believed he had tried to steal a ballot. He required a police escort to escape. Louis Rosero, a Democratic aide, says he was punched and kicked by the Republican goons. Others were trampled to the
floor as the mob tried to break down the doors of the room outside the office of the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections where the votes were being counted.

MOBILE TERROR
When it was over, the rule of the mob was triumphant. The three canvassers voted to walk away from the recount whose tally would likely have led to Al Gores victory over George Bush in Florida and in the presidential election. One of its members, David Leahy, acknowledged the protests were a
factor in his decision. The other two, perhaps fearful of their safety, declined all interviews. As the mob celebrated its victory, its Republican Party masterminds transferred their mobile home/base of operations to Broward County, where they employed the same tactics against that countys
canvassers on Friday. Some conservative pundits have gone so far as to celebrate the triumph of mob rule over democracy and rule of law. Paul Gigot, a commentator for PBSs NewsHour and the Wall Street Journal editorial page, praised what he termed the bourgeois riot. Gigot reporting from the scene, witnessed John Sweeney, a visiting GOP monitor, telling an aide, Shut it down, and thereby inspiring what he called the semi-spontaneous combustion that forced the counters to cave in.

A loyal conservative, Gigot was either unwilling to mention or unaware of the fact that the riot had been pre-arranged by Republican operatives nearby. Nevertheless, he got the sequence he observed right. The Republicans marched on the counting room en masse, chanting Three Blind Mice, and
Fraud, Fraud, Fraud let it be known that 1,000 local Cuban-American Republicans - [a group to whom violence as an instrument of political intimidation is not exactly unknown]- were on the way.

WHERES THE OUTRAGE?
Whats amazing in the few reporters other that ABCs Redeker, that have covered this explosive story is the lack of outrage at these tactics? Not until Joe Lieberman came out on Friday afternoon and denounced this dangerous development did the networks and most newspapers even notice the story. Most of the press reports seemed to believe that the Miami-Dade counters had simply changed their minds for no reason at all. In fact, Wednesdays Republican-sanctioned riot is merely one facet of a campaign that has been remarkably unabashed in its willingness overturn democratic practices and ignore the rule of law in pursuit of victory. House Majority Leader Richard K. Armey has announced that the Republican-controlled House of Representatives reserves the right to overturn the entire election should it decide it does not like the result. We in the House must be aware of one fact: In the end, when the
final analysis is brought to the House, it is our duty to accept or reject that, Armey told the Associated Press. He is joined in these anti-democratic threats by Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, who has indicted the Florida Supreme Court for allegedly ignoring the most fundamental principles of our democracy, promising, This cannot stand.

IRRESPONSIBLE THREATS

The Republicans marched on the counting room en masse, chanting Three Blind Mice, and Fraud, Fraud, Fraud let it be known that 1,000 local Cuban-American Republicans- were on the way. -
PAUL GIGOT

Wall Street Journal Meanwhile the Bush campaign at the very top has been encouragingly exactly these kinds of irresponsible threats. On the night of the Florida Supreme Courts unfavorable (from its standpoint) decision, James Baker greeted reporters and intimated, One should not now be surprised if the [Republican-dominated] Florida legislature seeks to affirm the original rules.

As E.J. Dionne observed in The Washington Post, Bakers statement could mean anything from an ex post facto law overturning the court ruling to a legislative decision to ignore the vote counting altogether and unilaterally send a Bush slate to the Electoral College. The message: Nice little electoral system you have here. Too bad if anything happened to it.

STAY AND FIGHT
While Al Gore won the popular vote nationwide and would easily have won the Florida vote were it not for the vagaries of the butterfly ballot, he is clearly fighting from a disadvantage in this odd electoral aftermath. His party and many of his supporters are of two minds as to whether they even want him to win the presidency. He is being portrayed by the Republican-leaning punditocracy
as a sore loser who does not know when to quit. This despite the fact that Gore has abjured many of the avenues open to him through which he might fight the Republicans fire with fire, and has called on his opponent to make a joint public appearance and to tone down the rhetoric on both sides.
But Bush and Republicans want none of this. They can win, they have decided, because they alone are willing to do whats necessary: This includes mob intimidation, public attacks on the judiciary, and, if it comes to this, a willingness to discard the peoples vote should it eventually be counted in their opponents favor.
What was an uninspired campaign for the presidency has become an absolutely critical fight for democracy. And it is for that reason rather than his own political prospects that Al Gore must ignore the calls from the pundits and the party hacks that he and Joe Lieberman surrender. History has finally given the hyper-cautious Gore a chance to become an authentic American hero. All he has to do to become one is take his own advice: Stay and Fight.

The Presidency -- Just Another Perk? Michael Moore

Dear Governor and President-in-Waiting Bush:

This has to be the first time in our history that a candidate who is losing BOTH the popular vote AND the electoral vote insists on being anointed President of the United States. I can understand why you expect this title to be yours. You have spent your entire life having everything handed to you. You have never had to earn your place. Money and name alone have opened every door for you. Without effort or hard work or intelligence or ingenuity, you have been bequeathed a life of privilege. You learned at an early age that, in America, all someone like you has to do is show up. You found yourself admitted to a wealthy New England boarding school simply because your name was Bush. You did not have to EARN your place there. It was bought for you. You then learned you could get into Yale with a "C" average. Other, more deserving, students who
had worked hard for 12 years to earn their place at Yale were denied admittance. You got in because your name was Bush.

You got into Harvard the same way. After screwing off during your four years at Yale -- and maintaining your "C" average -- you took someone's else's seat at Harvard, a seat that they had EARNED. You then pretended to serve a full stint in the Texas Air National Guard. But one day, according
to the Boston Globe, you just skipped out and didn't report back for a year and a half to your unit. You didn't have to earn your military record because your name was Bush.
After a number of "lost years" that don't appear in your official biography, you were given job after job by your daddy and other family members -- jobs you didn't have to earn. No matter how many of your business ventures failed, there was always another one waiting to be handed to you.
Finally, you got to be a partner in a ball team -- another gift -- even though you put up only 1/100 of the money for the team. And then you convinced the taxpayers of Arlington, Texas, to give you another perk -- a brand-new multi-million dollar stadium.

So it is no wonder to me why you think you deserve to be named President. You've haven't earned it or won it -- therefore it must be yours! And you see nothing wrong with this. Why should you? It is the only life you have ever known. I will never forget the footage of you sitting in your governor's mansion the night of the election when it was first declared that Gore had won Florida. Surrounded by poppy and mommy, and on the phone to your brother the governor of Florida, you were a picture of calm. You had not a worry in the world. You told the press that your brother had assured you Florida was yours. If a Bush said it was so, it was so. But it ain't so. And when it dawned on you that the Presidency had to be earned and won by a vote
of the people -- yes, the people! -- you went berserk. You sent in hatchet man James Baker ("F--- the Jews, they don't vote for us anyway" was his advice to Poppy in '92) to tell lies to the American people and stoke the nation's fears. When that didn't work, you went to federal court and sued
to stop the votes from being counted because you knew how the vote would turn out. What kills me is how you have turned to the big, bad, federal government for help! Was not your mantra, during every campaign stop, the following line:
"My opponent trusts the federal government. I TRUST YOU, THE PEOPLE!" So now we learn the truth. You don't trust the people at all. You went running to the FEDERAL court to get your handout ("Trust the machines, not the people," you pleaded). But the judge didn't buy it, and for perhaps the first time in your life, someone said "no" to you.

What will you do now? According to the New York Times, 90% of your campaign funds came from just 775 American millionaires. Oh, that they could bail you out of this mess! I wouldn't count on them -- it's not like they have suffered financially under Clinton/Gore. They know they will do just
fine with the Kissin' Fool. I think, my friend, you are on your own. Mr. Bush, your only hope is that Gore will wimp out and throw in the towel. There is ample evidence of how Democrats love to cave. You and your right-wing friends know the Democrats are weak-kneed and spineless. You remember how Al Gore and all the Democrats voted to put that anti abortion zealot Scalia on the Supreme Court -- and how 11 Democrats made the difference in placing Clarence Thomas there, too?

That's your ticket. Spook Gore and his party into believing a focus group is mad at them, take a phony poll that backs that up, get the gasbag pundits to yammer and hammer him and maybe, just maybe, you'll get the latest plum prize that is not yours to have.
Yours,
Michael Moore

The Bush Plan and the Rockefeller "Snowball Effect"
**************************************
"How strategically important to The Bush Plan was Jeb's election as governor of Florida? The Sunshine State was the nation's third most populous state with twenty-five electoral votes, which combinede with Texas' thirty-two, Bush would lock up fifty-seven of the 270 votes needed to win the presidency. In addition, with the brothers in the statehouse in both Texas and Florida, one in eight Americans would be governed by a Bush. Joining the Roosevelts, Rockefellers, and Kennedys as political dynasties would also have a "snowball effect," according to George W.'s political
strategists. Political lineages brought name recognition, experience, and even gave voters a sense of stability, they reasoned.

"To ensure an Election Day double victory, the Bush clan turned out in force in Florida, including former first lady Barbara, who sat directly in front of MacKay at the fourth and final debate between the Democrat and her son. Her mission: cheer up Jeb, charm the media and the audience and,
most importantly, with her infamous icy stare, shame MacKay into backing down from his strident attacks on her son's business dealings and associates, his judgement and lack of elective experience.

"The Texas governor also dispatched his political strategists to organize Jeb's campaign effort and develop negative television ads that branded Buddy MacKay as a tax-and-spend progeny of big government. Particularly effective were commercials taglined, "He's Not My Buddy!" which nearly
doubled Jeb's lead in the polls when they were aired.

"More importantly, George W.'s political-financial network garnered more than $1 million in Texas for his brother's campaign in Florida, which raised concerns among the press, who noted that one-fifth of the Sunshine State political donation came from oil interests. Reporters, state Democratic Party officials and environmentalists loudly voiced their suspicions that the contributions were from oil companies eager to drill offshore in Florida waters, particularly in the Keys.

""'If the Democrats in Florida don't understand brotherly love then they better reassess their emotions,' responded the Texas governor. 'I help my brother because he is my brother. I he asked for help, I'm more than willing to help him.'

"Florida Democratic Party Chairman Mitch Caesar suspected many of the Texas political contributions to Jeb's gubernatorial campaign were actually intended to help his older brother carry the densely populated state in a bid for the presidency in 2000. 'Why would anyone in Texas want to give money to Florida?' he asked. 'Obviously, it's his brother. They're playing politics with Florida's future.'"

The petition title is 10,000+ Miami/Dade voting citizens shall not be disenfranchised.
The petition URL is www.PetitionOnline.com/Co...ition.html

The petition is directed to Miami/Dade County Canvassing Board

To: Citizens for Democracy
To: Canvassing Board of Miami/Dade County, Florida c/o Al Gore - President of the United States of America
From: Concerned Citizens for Democracy
The voters of Miami/Dade county should not be disenfranchised. There are 10,000, or more, undervotes that have not been tallied by the machines in the county. These undervotes represented about 10,000 votes that could not be read by the vote counting machines that contained a vote for
president. The manual recount alone performed until November 22nd, 2000 indicated that the county-wide recount had the potential of changing the results of this Presidential election. These votes should not and cannot be denied.
The county's three member canvassing board could cover and validate all the undervotes by the Supreme Court's deadline this coming Sunday evening to report the county's certified vote count results. Each of the 10,000 individual votes could be counted by the board by initiating the process Saturday morning and finishing by Sunday evening. Simply stated: These 10,000 votes should be read and reported in the county's final ammended results sent to the Secretary of State's Office as mandated by the Supreme Court of Florida.
The Supreme Court's decision gives you the specific discretion to most accurately determine the voter's intent, of each and every individual vote - and add them to the total of amended and certified results.

The enormous responsibility of securing our democracy in this Presidential Election rests in your hands. Please do not be bullied by Republican/Bush campaign minions who have done nothing else and continue even today in their attemtps to filibuster attaining an accurate vote count in the State
of Florida. It is sad that they have resorted to violence to stop the accurate count. They are not the final arbiter in this matter, you are. You have the authority and capability to produce a fair and accurate vote certification by your county.

For release Nov. 20, 2000 =================================

Electoral Crisis May Light Fuse for New Democracy Movement
"We are the Tomorrow that is Harvested in the Past"

With tongue in cheek, Cuban leader Fidel Castro and Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe offered to send representatives to Florida to observe and provide assistance in resolving the confusing end-game of the 2000 presidential election. The United States, long the self-proclaimed beacon of democracy the world over, now finds itself in the midst of an extraordinarily close election where Democrats and Republicans engaged in a blatantly partisan legal brawl to determine a winner.

Until the Nov. 7 election, most Americans saw their nation as a model of democratic ideals where one person-one vote was valued above all else. But with votes tainted by defective paper ballots, allegations of deliberate disenfranchisement and an archaic Electoral College that supersedes the sanctity of the collective will of the people, citizens are beginning to question the perceived
superiority of the system.

Between The Lines' Scott Harris spoke with William Greider, The Nation Magazine's national affairs correspondent and author of the widely acclaimed book "Who Will Tell The People: The Betrayal of American Democracy." Greider considers how our nation could benefit from the public's current focus on the flaws in our system -- to reform it -- and mobilize citizens to challenge the major party political orthodoxy.

William Greider: I think we're in a very serious moment of anarchy in which the authorities seem to have lost control of events at least momentarily. That should stimulate people to consider not just who won this election but to raise other questions about their decayed democracy. I think
actually in a clumsy way, that may be already happening.
The establishment -- and I mean that in a bipartisan sense, in and out of politics -- has a really cynical regard toward ordinary citizens and particularly their electoral decisions. So they're saying, "Let's get this over with, it doesn't matter that much who won, we have to defend the
legitimacy of the system and we have to get on with it." I think it's quite dangerous to rush this outcome. We should be very deliberate and take our time, and count and recount -- do whatever it takes to satisfy people that the outcome is fair.

Between The Lines: The American people are watching a situation where both major parties are engaged in raw, bald-faced partisanship. Do you think as a result of this we'll see more people alienated from the system or more people attracted to it to change and fix it?

William Greider: I think both. People who don't pay much attention, and who don't vote anyway, will be brought up in their seats a little bit by this event, just because of the weirdness of it. If they pay any attention at all, some of their suspicions about politics will probably be confirmed.
Whether that makes them even more alienated or stirs them to some of sort of engagement, who knows? But I think there are a lot of Americans who have quite passively drifted along accepting the civic mythologies and trying to do the right things as citizens. I think that's where the anger is and that's very healthy.

Between The Lines: When it comes to this particular unique moment in history, what do you think we can do as a people to reform the system? There will be those who have been jolted upright as you said, to take a look at the system and its flaws? We have vast problems with large donors controlling the agenda of our politics, we have the winner-take-all system which certainly disenfranchises a lot of people, and of course, we have the Electoral College which is questionable from any point of view. Do you think we're going to see people take advantage of this interesting place in time?

William Greider: I sure hope so. Look, you always have to be optimistic about the possibilities and I always hope to be. I think this is one of those rare maybe brief moments when the veil has fallen off a lot of stuff and the people should seize it at any level they can. I mean, literally, people should make a lot of noise and demand some deeper explanations for how this system got to where it is. I'm not just talking about the outcome of this election or even how screwed up the election machinery is. How has it happened, for instance, that you have this contest for control of the House of Representatives this year which we're told over and over again is intensely fought out between the two parties? Well, there really weren't 10 percent of the members of the House who faced a serious contest this year. We all know what that's about. It's about money, and about safe districts carved out between the two parties. Why are third and fourth parties and other voices that want to be heard
so pushed out of the way by law? The laws are stacked against anybody who doesn't call themselves a Democrat or Republican.

There was a time when that could be justified because those two parties really did speak for most of the country. They don't any more. They just don't.and people ought to demand reform. People ought to demand public financing for challengers so that you don't have to be a millionaire to at
least get into the contest with at least a chance of being heard and even winning. It's a very long list of things that are wrong with our democracy. Half of the country doesn't even bother to vote, and their perceptions, some of them are screwball, but a lot of them are dead on. They understand
this system isn't about them any more and so they're just not going to bother. I regret that, but I think that their perceptions are not altogether inaccurate.

I hope this crisis stimulates people to shout back in anyway they can. If it means going down to the public square and pointing their finger at the local county officials, or bombarding talk radio or whatever, I'm for unruliness at this moment. I think it would be good for the country. Who knows, if this thing goes on long enough maybe it will light the fuse for our own spontaneous democracy movement, American style. There's no need to bomb TV transmitters, or set fires at the Capitol -- we're not Eastern Europe -- but it will be very healthy for the country if people stay mad for awhile, and I mean that quite sincerely.

"We are the Tomorrow that is Harvested in the Past"
*********************************************
The Corporate Overthrow of the United States of America in the 20th Century

Introduction

"This is how the war machine operates. Behind the seeming concern for national security are the busy men with the bulging briefcases hurrying from the Pentagon over to Capitol Hill, the tight-mouthed men hurrying from CIA headquarters over to the Pentagon; it is eventually a game. It is an operation designed to produce for the warfare sector and its military hardware supporters billions of dollars annually and unlimited power in the affairs of the nation.

"Since the end of World War II, the United States has spent a thousand billion dollars--one trillion dollars-furnished by the American people, who have been colonized by these men and their hunger for power. Could the CIA kill a President to keep such an operation going? Kings have been beheaded for infinitely less."

Jim Garrison, A Heritage of Stone (1970).

We live in a hostile, corrupted, cynical time on Planet Earth. No one can deny that general assessment. However, when it comes to blind loyalty and patriotic allegiance, it seems a critical mass of the citizens of this military "Superpower" known as"America" are in complete denial, leaving the rest of us stunned with disbelief.

The same nation which promotes the face of George Washington across the planet-- that "Worshipful Master" of the White House, slave-master, Indian eradicator, Commander in Chief , surrogate King-- now allows the Capitol named for Glorified George to represent them to the world, regardless of the ugly, pestilent history under their feet, tucked away in their piggy-banks.

Can cynicism be fatal? In these times, thanks to the U.S.A., this has become the preeminent global challenge, overshadowing all other matters like a spreading mushroom cloud.

This report will present evidence that, due to critical flaws in the Constitutional relationship of the U.S.military with the representatives of the American people, the constitutional government known as the "United States of America" has been technically OVERTHROWN by a multinational, corporate conspiracy, based primarily on white supremacist values. Through the creation of a shadow government, under the guise of "National Security" and the tutelage of Nazi and British spy-masters, a handful of families have turned a Constitutional Democracy into a secret military police state.

This document will be presented before the World Court at The Hague, as well as before the United Nations diplomatic community, in support of the case of the Sovereign Hawaiian Nation (now occupied and routinely bombed by the U.S. military-state), as well as on behalf of American Indian Political Prisoner Leonard Peltier.
While Nelson Mandela has been released from his Apartheid
prison, to become a leader of his nation, Leonard Peltier is still being worked in a forced-labor, high-security prison-camp, suffering many pains, denied a fair trial, "hidden away" by the corporate media so that the majority of "good Amerikans" do not even recognize his name. For Indigenous Peoples, the White House represents something much more sinister than a stained blue dress-it is a giant cowboy boot on the graves of our ancestors.

At the heart of this supremacist conspiracy we find central characters who remain prominent in the public arena today. Following George Bush and his entire family, the Rockefellers, Henry Kissinger, the Morgans and Duponts-- we find tentacles creeping out from the U.S. National Security State which affect every last child on Earth, choking off the flow of possibilities to our children's future. From Big Steel to Big Oil to Big Bombs, these World Bankers and their fraternity brothers have built a gigantic warhead on which the entire world now lives. It is hoped that this report will help to defuse the supremacist, sociopathic, CIA-associated war machine before many millions more must die.

Hola Y que tal BZ?

The mierda in Florida past and present , ala Los Bushes along with Poppy Fuhrer Bush can be likened to the Reichstag fire.... Now the question arises. Did Wubya get elected in Texas the same way???? Also, remember, that in an election crisis such as this , the Electoral College doesn't necessarily have to appoint anyone of the two candidates. They can appoint anyone they see fit. .

Could it be that this whole mierda was
conncocted to extend Bubba Klinton's hold on the plantation White House??? Or maybe they are skewing to appoint a mega banker in the position, culminating in the final takeover... I fear that most people are still thinking and looking at this crisis in a high school textbook context, complete with the wearing of Mickey Mouse ears, along with those silly little hats one sees at the Demopublican conventions...

Very, very naive .. Which ever happens, we are in deep skittle anyway...

Nazi Cowboys from Hell ::: Fourth Reich Amerikan Style
********************************************
It is a paradox that, while posing as a "compassionate conservative," Bush and his family have the longest standing ties with outright fascism of any U.S. political family.

George W.s grandfather, Prescott Bush, later a U.S. senator from Connecticut, had profitable ties to Adolph Hitlers Third Reich back in the early 1930s. As a partner in the Wall Street investment bank, Brown Brothers, Harriman and Co., Prescott served as U.S. financier for Fritz Thyssen, the German steel magnate who bankrolled Hitlers seizure of power.

When Prescott agreed to serve on the board of Thyssens Union Banking Corporation, Thyssen had already published a notorious pro-Hitler tract titled, "I Paid Hitler."

Under the Trading With the Enemy Act, the Franklin Roosevelt administration seized Prescott Bushs holdings in Thyssens Union Banking Corp.

These links, never publicly repudiated by the Bush family, help explain the elder George Bushs "damage control" assignment during the Nixon Watergate crisis, thought by many to be the closest the U.S. ever came to a fascist coup detat.

If you think the Nazi agenda for world control, disposing of undesirable populations, and experiments to genetically develop a master race ended with World War II, you are in for a shocker! Dumber than Dan Quayle?

"I've been campaigning all over the country for Vice President Al Gore, and all over this country, people are asking whether or not George Bush is smart enough to be president of the United States. And I'll tell you what's really scary: One of the people that's asking is Dan Quayle. " John Kerrey

"Bush is inadequate. You cannot slide through life on your daddy's name, turning in a poor performance in school and the military and a distinctly questionable performance in the business world, loaf through a few years in baseball trading Sammy Sosa and then tell outrageous lies about your
part-time performance in a powerless job. This is silly.... What Bush does not get is the connection between policy and results in real people's lives. He really thinks we'd be better off if most of government was done by charities. He thinks that nice corporate polluters will volunteer to cut
down on filth. I know he's good at politics, but he is not interested in governing. It bores him; he has no attention span for it. If this were just an election that was going to put a lightweight in the White House, I wouldn't feel so bad. We can survive that. But I'm not sure that we can
survive what comes with Bush, or more precisely, what's behind him....Our political system is corrupted by money, and the only thing that George W. Bush wants to do about it is make it worse.

Rigged Elections & "Family Business"
******************************

"In the beginning, much of the machinery of national security was directed at adversaries abroad. The CIA, in particular, was given the mission of manipulating the internal affairs of other countries, from rigging elections to engineering coups. But it is not possible to create an invisible government, a world of secret agents and covert operators, without using those resources sooner or
later against the American people.

"CIA covert operations, from rigging elections abroad to overthrowing governments and instituting political assassinations, should be specifically barred by law in peacetime. It has been amply demonstrated by now that the cost of covert operations to our own system is too high."

"But as this book has shown repeatedly, scandalous intrigues, outright deceptions and downright lying have been the continuing modi operandi of the Bush clan.

"They have established an unmatched and unprecedented history of self-aggrandizement. They have dimmed the dream of their country. That will be their dubious legacy, not only for those Americans who will later chronicle and expand on these events, but also for those of us who have lived
through them.

Bush whacks words 'til they resignate. ******************************
George W.'s mangled prose makes a certain Canadian PM sound like a linguist
By Kathleen Kenna
Toronto Star, Washington Bureau

WASHINGTON - So Prime Minister Jean Chrtien tortures two languages while campaigning? Relax. He sounds like a linguist compared to the Texan who wants the White House.

"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?" says Governor George W. Bush.

The Republican presidential candidate insists education must be America's top priority - "My education message will resignate amongst all parents" - and it's no wonder. His Ivy League degrees (B.A.-history--from Yale, and a Harvard MBA) are obviously little help: "Reading is the basics for all learning."

So teachers are forewarned: "We want them to know how to teach the science of reading in order to make sure there's not this kind of federal cufflink."

He promises: "Gov. Bush will not stand for the subsidation of failure."

Some will succeed: "One of the common denominators I have found is that expectations rise above that which is expected."

Because he knows: "Intelligence is - do you have a basis from which to make decisions."

After 18 months of Social Security privatization, re-militarizing U.S. peacekeepers, reforming health care and the other serious stuff of campaign speeches, it's time for Bush's riffs on:

The future: "Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream." Yet one wonders: "Will the highways on the Internet become more few?"

Being nicer: "We must all hear the universal call to like your neighbour just like you like to be liked yourself."

Being poor: "I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family."

Arming kids: "I think we ought to raise the age at which juveniles have a gun."

Testing kids: "If you don't measure, if we're having to guess whether or not our children are learning, by the time it's too late we're going to find out that they're not, if they're not."

His tax cuts: "It's your money. You paid for it." Besides, "It's not Reaganesque to support a tax plan that is Clinton in nature."

Tax breaks proposed by his Democrat rival, Vice-President Al Gore: "It's going to require numerous IRA agents."

Barriers and tariffs are really "terriers and bariffs."

Bush can play many roles.

Veterinarian: "He can't take the high horse and then claim the low road."

Commander in chief-in-waiting: "We cannot let terrorists and rogue nations hold this nation hostile or hold our allies hostile."

"When I was coming up, it was a dangerous world and you knew exactly who they were. It was us versus them and it was clear who them was. Today, we are not so sure who the they are, but we know they're there."

But foreign policy is his obvious specialty:

"A key to foreign policy is to rely on reliance."

"We'll let our friends be the peacekeepers and the great country called America will be the pacemakers."

Bush denies a suggestion by Vanity Fair writer Gail Sheehy he's dyslexic: "The women who knew that I had dyslexia - I never interviewed her."

So sign on: "If you're sick and tired of the politics of cynicism and polls and principles, come and join this campaign."

And he'll get the staff White House-trained: "The administration I'll bring is a group of men and women who are focused on what's best for America, honest men and women, decent men and women, women who will see service to our country as a great privilege and who will not stain the house."

"In this country we embrace the myth that we are still a democracy when we know that we are not a democracy, that we are not free, that the government does not serve us but subjugates us. Although we give lip service to the notion of freedom, we know the government is no longer the servant of the people, but, at last, has become the people's master."
Gerry Spence "From Freedom To Slavery"

"American democracy is in much deeper trouble than most people wish to acknowledge. Behind the reassuring facade, the regular elections and so forth, the substantive meaning of self-government has been hollowed out. What exists behind the formal shell is a systemic breakdown of the shared civic values we call democracy."
