US Drug War: 10,000 US Murders & 1.4 Million US Burglaries/Year.

First, have you seen the confusing and misleading things that the new UK Home Secretary has recently said about illegal "drugs" and the Drug War? [See post at: boards.marihemp.com/board...tml?2x2574 Imo, the fact that he could say these things... indicates how deluded and brainwashed the average UK (and US) citizen still is, concerning these important issues.
NO, most of the *real crimes, that are committed against others, that are related to illegal drugs, are NOT "caused by illegal drugs" - as many politicians and other folks misleadingly believe and state - but these real crimes are in fact caused by the Drug War itself.
Similarly, during Alcohol Prohibition, essentially all of the extra murders, and other real crimes that occurred then, were caused by that Drug War... and these murders and other real crimes - that occurred during that Drug War - were NOT caused by Alcohol or Illegal Drugs....
US War on Drugs Causes about 40% of ALL US Murders.
There are at least two reputable sources for the US murder info., listed above:
1.) The Nobel Prize-winning US Economist, Dr. Milton Friedman who stated around 1990, in a PBS interview, that: Our US Drug War causes 10,000 extra US murders every year; has doubled the number of US jails and prisons and (thus...) the number of US incarcerated people, etc. ... and...
2.) The Washington Post news article from about two years ago, whose author discusses a 1988 New York City Crime Study.
This 1988 NYC study found that *at least 37.5% of ALL 1988 NYC murders that occured that year were directly caused by our War on illegal "drugs"; Etc.....
Extrapolating this important NYC Crime Study to cover the entire US, we again see that the US Drug War causes about 10,000 extra US Murders every year.

Concerning how many extra US Robberies and Burglaries the US Drug War causes, I'm somewhat less certain. BUT, I've seen websites, whose authors have stated that, our Drug War causes at least about 60-80% of ALL US street crimes.
And, I'm told that a US University Professor, who has written a book about these Drug War issues, states that our US Drug War causes about 80% of all US street crimes and burglaries.
And, late last year a TV advert., in which the speaker said that, *according to US FBI statistics, *every 15 seconds, throughout the entire year, another US Burglary [or, "break-in" occurs.
IF it is true, as stated, our US Drug War causes at least 60% of ALL US Burglaries and IF the FBI statistic, referenced directly above, is correct...
THEN the US War on Drugs - which it is important to note, is mostly a Marijuana Prohibition - directly causes about 1,400,000 extra US Burglaries each and every year - that's a WoDs-caused US Burglary about every 30 seconds or less occurring throughout the year...
In addition to the 10,000 US murders - and all the other needless US and other countries' citizens deaths, and all the other tragic, terrible and needless suffering that our US Drug War causes - here and throughout the entire World - each and every year.
Please continue your good efforts to educate and to deprogram the US and other countries' citizens about these very important facts and immoral Drug War issues.

NOTES: Among other reasons, Drug Wars are immoral because they attempt to prevent good folks from living their lives, in the ways that they desire, while not harming others.
Examples: 1.) Largely because of the US Drug War, at least 40% of ALL US cancer patients do NOT receive proper treatment for their cancer-related pain.
2.) The US Drug War legally *forces chemotherapy and other patients to suffer and die un-necessarily. Typical example, US Drug Warriors tortured the widely respected humanitarian and award-winning author, Mr. Peter McWilliams... and then they caused his sad, premature and completely unnecessary death.
3.) Our Drug War makes it illegal for tens of millions of US citizens - and for billions of citizens Worldwide - to pursue their personal health and happiness in the manner that they believe is best for them - and legally forces them to seek FAR more dangerous, more expensive and, too often, more deadly alternatives, such as: Alcohol, Tobacco and Prescription Drugs. ...
